Ring Sarasota is dedicated to our growing educational initiatives and you can help!
#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Ring Sarasota is raising funds for our educational initiatives this year, including expanding our Handchime Educational Outreach Program and our burgeoning scholarship program.
Our members teach handchimes to students and senior citizens and advise teachers on incorporating chimes into their lessons. In 2022, through your generosity, we were able to establish a scholarship program aimed at helping ringers attend workshops and handbell events to learn and grow their skills.
We awarded our first scholarship this fall to Ring Sarasota’s “Holiday Headstart,” but these funds are not limited to our events. Scholarship funds can be used for registration and/or music costs for events like the annual Area 4 Florida Festival or advanced opportunities like the National Honors Handbell Ensemble or Distinctly Bronze. Offering this financial aid to ringers guarantees opportunities for growth and advancement in handbell ringing. Ring Sarasota believes in the benefits of continuing education for ringers of all levels.
